Those opposed to life have, again, attacked the only democracy in the Middle East even while the withdrawal from Gaza was being tested by a brave Sharon.
How can the Israeli government, which has to balance withdrawal from the occupied territories with the electorates understandable distrust of the Palestianians, convince that electorate that the West Bank should be given up in order to make peace if the nut-cases in the West Bank continue to explode themselves in order to remove people’s limbs and end (five at the moment) people’s lives?
The Israeli conflict is not simple, but there are people who can do something about resolving it. Those are, primarily at the moment, the Palestinian people. If Gaza citizens could be shown to survive without feeling the need to murder their neighbour’s people and, indeed, thrive, there is every chance the Israelis would do what they should and withdraw.
While they continue to commit these mass murders, though, the electorate (who control the government in any healthy democracy) will not accept what they see as concessions for nothing.

The Iranian President (not going to attempt his name) has since called for Israel to be ‘wiped off the map’. This is some of the underlying issues surrounding the Mid East problem, the pathological hatred of Israel by the Islamic countries surrounding it. That and the consumate ammounts of cash that Iran pumps into Palestinian bombing campaigns.

It is quite beyond comprehension.
To me, and I imagine most people, life is not that complicated - you try and better yourself and, where possible, the lot of those around you.
People disagree about politics and religion but, in the main, that needn’t cause irreconcilable problems. I would imagine if I new a communist I could probably get along with them in the same way as I do Conservatives, socialists, with a Muslim friend of mine, some Jewish people I know, not to mention devout Christians and some semi-practising Hindus.
Why anyone thinks the best thing for their life is to blow themselves up (Muslim terrorists), waste their life hating (the Church of Hate) or to impose their rule on many other people (Mugabe) is really, really quite beyond me.
The Iranian president is involving himself in a conflict between Israel and muslims that is not near his area of responsibility and which, if left alone, might come to resolution. His involvement in the matter can only result either in no change to the status quo or a worsening.

Why dont you ask sharon the same thing. Along with Bush and blair, he’s the biggest terrorist going. lol @ “brave”!
Did you refer to Israel as “****” when commiting acts resulting similar effects in Palestine?
I didnt think so.
Maybe your disgusting subjectivity has got something to with the fact that they’d make you an outcast for being sexually deviant, if not render you subject to punishment, or even death!

Jamal, The cycle of violence in Israel is not one-sided but it looks as though you are condoning suicide bombing. Are you?
And how would they “make me an outcast”? Is it good that they would?

Jamal, I have re-read the post and, while I believe there is a very complicated balancing act to be acheived in the situation that is exacerbated by Israeli and Palestinian acts, I agree I was overly strong in my terms.
I have reworded the title and will be more considered in future.
