Poor Scottish Brown

Britain – a historical relic

Gordon Brown has failed entirely to pull the wool over the public’s eyes.

Brown has attempted to divert attention away from that fact that he represents a Scottish constituency (and so votes on laws that affect none of his constituents) by declaring his ‘Britishness’ and the need for us to support him in order to be patriotic.

Sadly we saw through it. Devolution, and especially the West Lothian question, have scuppered all chances of maintaining a ‘United’ Kingdom. We are now more obviously three-and-a-bit culturally distinct countries. Let’s stop this nonsense and the nonsense English Votes on English Matters policy, embrace our differences and install an English Parliament.

Brown has, incredibly, managed to raise the public awareness of the location of the constituency he represents and has made it even more unlikely he will achieve a majority of English MPs against Cameron. Ironically, the Tory policy (most people will tell you is a fudge) may be tested and shown to not work especially because of Brown’s flapping now! Plus ca change!

Yes, you are the only person I’ve noticed commenting on how desperate this looks by GB.

I think he could be in trouble.
