What Nick Hynter (sorry if that’s a mispelling, I was roused to write this upon his final comment and there is also the spelling Hytner on the internet for the same chap)…

What Nick Hynter said — that’s what I believe.
If someone wants to say something objectionable, bigotted or wrong, that’s their choice and they should not be compelled to not say it by the law. Well said My Hytner/Hynter.
Oh, and as Shami Chakrabati has just been on - you’re wrong, wrong, wrong.

I liked what he said, too, although it differs slightly from my own slightly confused attitude about this potential new law, particularly in the light of a letter in today’s Telegraph which you perhaps saw(?) - if not there’s a reference to it in a post I wrote this evening here:

Although I liked what Hytner said, I’m instinctively wary of supporting anything the Christian Institute and the Evangelical Alliance want - yes, that’s a prejudice, but there it is
