I don't see why not, although as most others above I don't buy NotW and never have.

« I can’t see why it should be less offencive to show the incident in Basra (which is being investigated by the Army, so nobody has been found guilty of anything yet) while citing ’sensitivity’ as a reason not to show the cartoons. »

I agree, although we are talking about NotW after all.

Gav, to be honest, boycotting the News of the World is something I've been doing for years; I pretty much boycott all things Murdoch as best I possibly can.

But you can mark me as in if you want. However, can I draw your attention to my coalition of the willing idea? I want to set up a tactical voting campaign to get Labour out; would need people such as yourself onboard; lots about it at the usual place...

Gav, I agree that the NoW have acted in a v partisan way and that needs to be brought to their attention. I can't see why it should be less offensive to show the incident in Basra (which is being investigated by the Army, so nobody has been found guilty of anything yet) while citing 'sensitivity' as a reason not to show the cartoons.
This is hypocrisy at its worst, so I support a boycott. (Though I suspect there are some who would wish to boycott me in the present climate!)

Why stop at News of the World? Plus, I don't think I could boycott it anyway - don't buy it... The BBC on the other hand...!

I've updated you on the Blogroll. I agree that the BBC would be boycotted if we had a choice, but the BBC is a state, tax-funded broadcaster!

And I've no intention of buying the NotW and I never did... But I'm making a stand!

Might as well, although quite how I would boycott the NOTW I don't know - I have never bought a copy and this is a trend set to continue.

What about the BBC? They showed the movie in question many many times. One reporter even commented on how this video coming to light would spark violence in Iraq!
