But Gav my friend? The difference between you and most LibDems I know is much less than the difference between you and a lot of Tories.

Aside; your categories link seems to be giving me php errors, may be just me?

    Now that’s really unfair!

  3. #3 by James Hellyer on March 20th, 2006 - 12:20 am

Well, Gav is one of Cameron’s crowd…

More seriously, I think the mappings given for political parties in the UK are suspect, but that the US Presidential mappings are fairly spot on.

    I’m with James on this…

But I’m only one of Cameron’s crowd in as much as I think he’s doing the right thing to get elected — I don’t agree with the policy direction he’s taking.

I took this test and came out as a socialist. I think being an atheist didn’t help.

  7. #7 by John King on March 20th, 2006 - 2:38 pm

I’m a socialist too! Good test.

  8. #8 by James Hellyer on March 20th, 2006 - 9:01 pm

    I’m with James on this…

Although you wouldn’t know it from his press, Clinton – like most mainstream Democrats – is actually decidedly right of centre by British standards. Okay, he was morally lax, but…

Essentially, I think anything below the central “moral rules” line is somewhere on the UK Conservative spectrum.

  9. #9 by James G on March 21st, 2006 - 11:30 am

    I scored a 98% affinity with Ronald Reagan…

    Wow…

No wonder people look at me like I’m crazy when I hold forth on political issues.

    :-)

I scored a 96% rating with Richard Nixon! Major downer.

  11. #11 by James Hellyer on March 21st, 2006 - 8:56 pm

Why? Nixon may have had massive personal flaws, but was a successful president, and a strong economic liberal and relatively socially liberal.

Or is it the CREEP thing?
