"Until they rot in jail" has never really made much sense to me. What a waste of time waiting for them to rot. But certainly until they die, yes. And frankly I would struggle to look anyone in the eye who thought that was harsh. I mean life in prison.

Paedophiles cannot be cured -- not by chemical or actual castration (as was tried in the US) or by counselling or any other means. The only solution is life in prison. On skynews it says holding someone in jail cost £24,000 per year, but keeping them in the community on probation cost only £2,500.
