The Conservatives will continue to be against uncontrolled immigration. The lack of talk on the subject is just an acceptance that each time we mention it, it becomes news. If we don't mention is, people can hear what we say about education, healthcare and the environment.

Well yes, maybe thats the right policy in an ideal world.

But the current situation isn't like that, we don't just have open borders with friendly countries who have open borders with us, almost anyone can come to this country even by hijacking a fkin plane! and get the 'right' to asylum.

I'm not trying to be anti immigrant, its a very serious question, how do the Conservatives think they can provide enough housing in Britain when almost the entire world seems to want to live here?
Its not possible, the only way you can do it is by restricting who can come here to a reasonable amount compared to what our resources and services can cope with.

We can only have a libertarian open border policy with countries that also have an open border policy with us. The EU may see an influx of Polish workers to the UK and Ireland to start with but in the long-term, assuming the EU survives its current left-ist stupidity, the populations will sort themselves out...

I know I am gonna sound like a broke record here, but.
It doesn't matter how much land we free up for housing if we are going to have a libertarian open border policy which means an almost unlimited amount of people wanting to live here, there can never be enough houses for that, surely?
