The game this evening was ruined by the referree. But it was entertaining in a macrabre way and will certainly help England’s progress…
I hope this picture of Deco and Boulahrouz illustrates quite how absurd the debacle was: Opposing players had more in common than the referree and common sense!

It was ruined by the referee but the players must shoulder some of the blame. It was a disgraceful display of diving and unsporting behaviour.
Quite sickening to watch.

I think that the players wouldn’t have been so bad if it wasn’t for the anger the referrees caused them to feel — my blood pressure was raised and I didn’t much mind what the result would be.
