I have written this before I go away and it will appear half-way through my away-ness so I hope the links still work etc!
First, the main link: Boris Johnson on the NHS.
In this article Boris talks about the injustices of devolution and the result that is English taxpayers paying for Scottish students to go to University for free; He talks about cancer sufferers — and one in particular — who would receive treatment were they Scottish; And he talks about an NHS which is National no more.
As anyone local will know, Tim Loughton and Peter Bottomley are working hard on trying to ensure that Worthing Hospital’s Accident and Emergency does not get closed due to financial mismanagement and the Barnet Formula: KWASH.
So what does Boris suggest? Let’s stop calling the National Health Service that, and let’s call it separately the Scottish Health Service (SHS) and the English Health Service (EHS).
So don’t forget the Scottish Raj google bomb and start writing to your MP about the need for an English Parliament to better serve England’s needs.
