Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Sorry for the Yoda quote. However apply it to the legal system as it stands and the proposal to shut down legal loopholes. We're fearful of people getting off on technicalities and the police / government get angry about it. The police / government then get angry putting a stop to all kinds of legal loopholes. The public on the receiving end of another law and further erosion of liberty becomes hateful of the police / government. The people then suffer at the hands of the police / government. It might sound far fetched but who's seen V for vendetta and the recent Spooks episodes about a British coup? Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate.
