Jeremy Clarkson makes the licence fee worth complaining about less. He regular says “Due to the unique way the BBC is funded…” which is enough for me: I’m already laughing without knowing which punchline or reason for his outburst.
So when Alan Drew tells us on his blog that Mr Clarkson has written a piece on Mr Hamster’s crash and recovery, you’ll know its entertaining.
And in the same way as his appearance makes me watch the BBC, Mr Clarkson’s piece has prompted my first reading of The Sun in quite a long, snobby time.

Heh…you know that competition they had last year for the best “driving song” and Clarkson was so against Bat Out Of Hell. I found on a colleague’s desk a few weeks later a free Sun CD of “Clarkson’s Best Drivetime Rock” or something – and top was…
Bat Out Of Hell…:)
Jock.
Hoping the Hamster makes a full recovery and we get some decent jokes out of him about this escapade.

I am currently coming to the end of a long (7yrs) assignment in China. I miss most of the news but hearing about the Hammond accident got me surfing for info. Obviously the search result in ‘gavpolitics’ got my attention.
Anyway, just to say that I hope he gets well soon and the nannies don’t try to use this to axe top gear and add some more speed cameras and stupid speed limits. Rest assured that the UK roads are already a lot safer than certain countries I could mention……

Readers be aware — this Gav is someone else!
The news has been quiet about it in the last few days but the thoughts of the silent majority remain with him.

While we are on the topic of how wonderfull your Jeremy is please look onto the last British car maker he helped kill! 5000 people like you and me are now out of work because of bad press coming from the likes of him about the cars that they produced. The Rover 75 was an amazing car, and the MG version breathtaking! But he slated it along with everything else in Rovers range.
So what makes good TV for you, helps distroy other peoples livelyhoods and puts doubt into a brand. Think of them next time you want a laugh won’t you.
