"Champing at the bit"? For an OS that has to be activated within 30 days or it will lock me out of my computer? That requires re-activating every 6 months or it will lock me out of my computer? That will continually check that any and all software I install is licensed according to *its* criteria or it will lock me out of my computer? From a company that is infamous for its buggy software, the same software that will decide whether I am to use the computer I have bought and that they have _already_ admitted will make mistakes and lock legitimate users out of their computers?

No Thanks, I wouldn't touch it with yours...

It's very much a matter of taste.

Personally I've tried Linux, Windows (all versions since 3.0) and MacOS 9 and MacOS X... I genuinely prefer Vista to any of those.
