Because really it’s something and nothing. It did get in the news otherwise none of us would know about it. Never subscribed to the BNP myself, so not sure how their minds work, and therefore tend to take anything their members say with a pinch of salt unless there are other facts to back it up.
The statement that the items were to be used for an unlawful purpose doesn’t tell us much really, but the presence of a noddy suit does give the impression that really they were stocking up for the day when, as they might see it, there is a civil war going on much as a number of Americans seem to do. Unless there were clear indications that they were going to target civilians and engage in war against the population, you couldn’t really class them as terrorists could you?

It seems very unlikely that we’d say the same if the householders were Muslim… They may, too, be waiting for a civil war but I would still call them terrorists!
Nice design on your blog by the way — you must be new to Witanagemot.

I agree we would say they were terrorists if they were muslims, but that would be because they’ve already shown a willingness to go down that road. I wouldn’t put it past a few members of the BNP to want to use the same methods, but they don’t have that history of putting ‘want’ into ‘practice’ yet. At least, that I’m aware of anyway.
Thanks for the compliment. I guess ‘new’ depends on how far back we’d class new, lol. I joined in June (I think) this year.

yeah Gav and thats because Muslims hate preachers make the feelings of them and their allies quite clear and even openly celebrate terrorism.

I hope that white community leaders were given a chance to air their grievances to the police chief at a local meeting. Targetting the BNP like this will create a wider division between the white community and the police.
When I walk down the street I see people looking at me now thinking I could be a member of the BNP just because I’m white.
