Welcome to the CEP Sussex

21 March 2008

Just to let you know we're still here -- I am no longer able to focus so much time on this as I would like, but the campaign is moving on nicely. Do get in touch via email if I can help at all.

31 July 2006

Letters have been sent to local MPs recently. Please do continue to write to your MPs and gain their support for our campaign which, let's face it, is right!

20 April 2006

I have been adding much recently to the CEP blog and have sadly neglected this page. If you are coming here in the hope of more up-to-date information, please refer the blog in the first instance. I do intend to update this page shortly, so do keep checking back!

Lord Falconer's comments yesterday have proved an excellent publicity opportunity for the CEP. With links from the Telegraph and the BBC websites, the cause has been given a significant boost. If you are coming here for the first time, or know of someone who's read the weekend's news and is moved by the democratic deficit in England, please join the Campaign and help us to stop this Labour government from inflicting unpopular legislation on English constituents (you).

England is the only country in the EU and the UK without its own parliament and, because of it, Scottish MPs vote on subjects which affect English people only.

If Gordon Brown becomes Prime Minister, the majority of the legislation that he proposes will not affect his own constituents in any way. To find out more about the need for an English Parliament, see the FAQ.

If you would like to join, please contact the CEP's membership section on the CEP main site.
